I am mostly interested in communities built around shared creative work. My involvement ranges from administering an international creative community to writing about contemporary theatre for a public audience and contributing to a wiki.

I treat community work as a way to learn, give, and contribute to something bigger. I like making creative spaces easier to understand from the outside and building for everyone.

GD Avenue

GD Avenue is an international creative community that uses Geometry Dash as an art form. Members share levels, give feedback, participate in events, and collaborate with each other.

3,000+ community members supported by staff systems and public rules

24/7 bot-assisted moderation, requests, tickets, reminders, and help flows.

Who it's for: Creators, players, and anyone interested in artistic expression or trying to understand the culture of level creation.
Who I work with: A distributed staff team of moderators, reviewers, admins, and contributors.
My responsibility: As one of three co-owners, I am responsible for administration, staff coordination, workflow design, tooling, documentation, rule clarification, and support for recurring community processes.
Role and progression: I moved from being a creator sharing my work to helping moderate the server. I then oversaw the moderation team, became an administrator overseeing server systems and their implementation, and finally became a co-owner and one of the community's leaders.
What the work involves: Reviewing incidents across multiple networked servers, handling member suggestions, supporting level request waves, coordinating staff responses, improving internal documentation, and maintaining tools that keep the server legible.
Leadership challenges: One of the biggest challenges I have faced is coordinating a 15-member team, with each specializing in different areas to keep a 3,000-member community running smoothly. Recruiting new team members, planning events, and resolving internal disputes across large time zone differences have all been challenging.

Impact
My work has not only helped keep the server's internal systems running, but has also supported events involving other creative communities and individuals, including recording artist Rutra. Avenue Guard has made constraints such as a roughly 200:1 member-to-staff ratio far more manageable by automating recurring workflows.
What I learned
Leadership requires constant presence. The strongest communities are not controlled by one person; they are held together by small groups whose shared habits, language, tools, and trust survive through coordination and shared responsibility.

Writing has been another way of participating in communities: making artistic work discussable, preserving knowledge, and giving readers a path into spaces they may not know yet.

I write theatre reviews for Teatrero, a public-facing platform developed through long-running competitively funded theatre-research projects. I write about plays I have attended and how music, staging, and social commentary shape both classic and newer works.

Multimedia creation · writing, proofreading, and documentation

I have written or contributed to multiple articles about video game creation, covering topics such as global performance, camera control as a game design tool, and animation techniques for expressing movement and building atmosphere. I publish this work under the name averageundertalefan.

I also proofread and publish articles on a site I helped develop, visited by more than 6,000 users each month.
